Motivation & background:
The pentagram is a symbol for the 'human' and forms the base of the 'PEACE TEMPLE'.
The cultural diversity of our society increases.
People are equal in their differences,
like a rainbow, where all colours have an equal place. These thoughts are reflected in the colours of the roof.

On the 15 steps of the Peace Temple you will find the following text in different languages: THE SUN - WITHOUT PASSING JUDGEMENT - SHINES FOR ALL OF US

The 5 sides of the middle column show
dancing figures, reaching for one another’s hands. Together they form a circle and in this way they embrace an unknown space.

By uniting apparent discrepancy between people, we create new space. This invisible space is the core of this piece of art. The core of the pentagram represents the core of the 'human'.

The flower-design of the roof consists of
15 petals:
 5 petals facing the earth
 5 petals facing the heavens
 5 petals forming a bud.
The closed bud hides a 'mystery', the power of which is transmitted in the central column.

This 'mystery' is the 'positive spirit' created when there is acceptance and respect for one another’s differences. This special power lifts people up when they feel connected within. In this way Peace can enter into our lives, this is the deepest longing in the hearts of all beings.
